Chocolate Coconut Balls Recipe



Sebelum ni saya penah share recipe Chocolate Coconut Balls kat food blog saya, tapi masa tu tak penah try buat lagi. Huhu. Dua minggu lepas, saya dah beli bahan-bahannya, cume biskut arrowroot tak jumpa, so saya beli biskut digestive jela.

Selain tu, saya ada beli bahan extra iaitu chopped almonds untuk digunakan sebagai filling dan juga rolling! Kalo tak suka kacang atau alergik kacang toksah la letak. Saya saje je nak cuba letak chopped almonds, nampak variety sket. At least ada choice samada nak makan yg coated dengan desiccated coconut ataupon chopped almonds. :P

Btw, memandangkan bulan puasa, saya blom sempat rasa lagi. Nanti malam karang saya update semula samada sedap ke tak rasa chocolate balls ni. :-s

Okay. Saya dah rasa. Sedap jugak. Tak manis sangat. 62 biji tu, dah telan 14 biji, bagi orang 26 biji. Tinggal lagi 22 biji. :P

Chocolate Coconut Balls Recipe

Prep time: 60 minutes
Extra time: 30 minutes for chilling
Makes: I manage to get 62 balls (about 1" in diameter)

1 packet (250g) of milk arrowroot biscuits (I used Digestive Biscuits)
1/3 cup (40g) of cocoa powder (sifted)
1/2 cup (45g) of desiccated coconut (plus a little extra for rolling the balls in)
1/4 cup of chopped almonds (plus a little extra for rolling the balls in)
1 tin (395g) of condensed milk
mini paper cups

Directions:
1. Crush the biscuits and place into a mixing bowl
2. Combine dry ingredients (cocoa powder, desiccated coconut, chopped almonds) to the crushed biscuits. Stir together.
3. Add condensed milk and mix well.
3. Take small amount of mixture and roll into a ball, then roll through extra coconut and chopped almonds.
4. Continue with the rest of the mixture, place the chocolate balls on a plate or container and chill in the fridge for 30 mins.
