Grilled Fish a.k.a Ikan Bakar

Third time using the Magic Grill Pan a.k.a 'Pemanggang Ajaib ARE-IKAN'.





Below is the ingredients I used. I can't even call it a recipe, it's too simple! wahaha.

Serves : 3
Calories per serving : 149 calories

3 pcs of frozen Dory Fish Fillet (thawed)
1 packet of ready made Pes Ikan Bakar
a few banana leaves for wrapping

1. Rub a few spoons of the paste on each fish fillet, and place the fish fillet on the banana leave.
2. Wrap it tight and secure with toothpicks.
3. On the smallest flame, grill both sides until fish is cooked/flaky (or 5 minutes each).
4. Serve while its hot.

I'm using a ready made paste that can be bought from the supermarket. Feel free to make you own paste from scratch. You can refer to this recipe to make your own 'Pes Ikan Bakar'. Credits to Kak Hanieliza.

Bahan-bahan A
20 tangkai cili kering
1 labu bawang besar
5 ulas bawang putih
1 s/b udang kering
1 s/b belacan
5 batang serai

Bahan B
1 kuntum bunga kantan [hiriskan halus]
daun kesum
daun limau purut [koyakkan]
1 s/b gula
1 s/k garam
1/2 cawan jus asam jawa
Minyak

Cara membuat
1. Mesin halus senua bahan A.
2. Panaskan minyak dana tumiskan bahan A sehingga wangi
3. Masukkan Bahan B dan kacau rata.
4. Rasakan garam dan biarkan sehingga pekat.
5. Bila siap masak, sejukkan dan simpan sebagai pes untuk membakar ikan atau nasi goreng.
